Delivery

How long does UK delivery take?
Orders placed before 2pm are posted the same working day. Royal Mail then takes 2 to 4 working days. Delivery is free on UK orders over £40, and £3.95 below that.

Do you ship outside the UK?
Not yet. We ship within the United Kingdom only. Write to us if you would like to know when that changes.

Your skin

Is Solvane suitable for sensitive or mature skin?
Yes. Our formulas are built around cold-pressed plant oils, botanical waters and gentle actives such as bakuchiol rather than harsh synthetics. If your skin reacts easily, patch test on your inner arm for 24 hours first, and introduce one new product at a time.

What is bakuchiol and how is it different from retinol?
Bakuchiol is a plant compound pressed from the seeds of the babchi plant. Studies have found it firms skin and softens fine lines much like retinol, but without the stinging, flaking or sun sensitivity that puts many people off. It suits mature and sensitive skin, and you can use it in the evening without an adjustment period.

Can I use bakuchiol and vitamin C together?
Yes, and they complement each other. Vitamin C in the morning to brighten and protect against free radicals, bakuchiol in the evening to firm and renew. There is no need to alternate nights.

Which products should I start with?
Most people begin with a vitamin C serum in the morning and a rich face cream at night. Add a bakuchiol serum once your skin has settled, usually after a fortnight.

How long until I see a difference?
Eight to twelve weeks of consistent use. Skin texture and tone usually shift first, with fine lines softening later. Anything promising faster than that is selling you something.

Are your products natural and cruelty free?
Every product is at least 99% natural, most ingredients are certified organic, and nothing is ever tested on animals. The full ingredient list is printed on every product page so you can check before you buy.

Where are the products made?
Every batch is blended by hand in a small workshop in Estonia, using Nordic and Baltic botanicals. We hold the stock in the UK and post it from our own shelves.

How long does a product last once opened?
Most creams, oils and serums keep for 6 to 12 months after opening. Because the formulas are waterless or lightly preserved, keep them below 25 degrees and out of direct sunlight, and always use clean hands.

Orders and returns

Can I return something if it does not suit me?
Yes. Unopened products can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If something opened has genuinely disagreed with your skin, write to us and we will sort it out.

Can I change or cancel my order?
If it has not been posted yet, yes. We pack quickly, so write to us as soon as you can with your order number.

Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, and they are delivered by email so they arrive instantly. Every order is packed in recyclable materials with no plastic, which makes it presentable enough to give as it is.
