Solvane began with one rule. If it does not come from a plant, a flower, or a cold-pressed seed, it does not go in the jar. Every batch is blended by hand in a small Estonian workshop, then posted from our shelves here in the UK.

  • Bakuchiol, not retinol

    Bakuchiol is pressed from babchi seed. Published trials put it close to retinol for lines and firmness, without the peeling, the stinging or the extra sun sensitivity. If retinol has beaten you before, start here.

  • Waterless where it counts

    Most high street creams are largely water. Ours lead with cold pressed plant oils and butters, so a pea sized amount does the work of a fingertip of something thinner, and the jar lasts months.

How long does UK delivery take?

Orders placed before 2pm are posted the same working day. Royal Mail then takes 2 to 4 working days. Delivery is free on UK orders over £40, and £3.95 below that.

Is this suitable for sensitive or mature skin?

Yes. Our formulas are built around cold-pressed plant oils and gentle actives such as bakuchiol rather than harsh synthetics. If your skin reacts easily, patch test on your inner arm for 24 hours first, and introduce one new product at a time.

What is bakuchiol and how is it different from retinol?

Bakuchiol is a plant compound pressed from babchi seeds. Studies have found it firms skin and softens fine lines much like retinol, but without the stinging, flaking or sun sensitivity that puts many people off. It suits mature and sensitive skin.

Can I use bakuchiol and vitamin C together?

Yes, and they complement each other. Vitamin C in the morning to brighten and protect, bakuchiol in the evening to firm and renew. There is no need to alternate nights.

Can I return something that does not suit me?

Unopened products can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If something opened has genuinely disagreed with your skin, write to us and we will sort it out.
